Flagship programmatic initiatives of the African Centre of India:

1. India–Africa Business Forum (IABF)

The India–Africa Business Forum serves as a dynamic platform to strengthen economic partnerships between India and African nations by fostering trade, investment, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration. It brings together businesses, policymakers, investors, development institutions, and innovators to identify emerging opportunities across sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, renewable energy, mining, and the creative economy. Through business delegations, investment forums, B2B meetings, policy dialogues, market intelligence, and strategic partnerships, the Forum aims to facilitate sustainable commercial engagement and contribute to shared economic growth and prosperity.

2. India–Africa Tourism Promotion Council (IATPC)

The India–Africa Tourism Promotion Council is dedicated to enhancing tourism cooperation between India and Africa by promoting both regions as vibrant, diverse, and mutually attractive travel destinations. The Council works closely with tourism boards, governments, airlines, hospitality stakeholders, tour operators, and cultural institutions to increase tourist exchanges, encourage investment in tourism infrastructure, and develop sustainable tourism initiatives. Through destination marketing, tourism summits, travel exhibitions, heritage promotion, capacity building, and collaborative campaigns, it seeks to position tourism as a powerful catalyst for economic development, cultural understanding, and stronger people-to-people ties.

3. India–Africa Cinema Academy (IACA)

The India–Africa Cinema Academy promotes collaboration between the Indian and African film and audiovisual industries by creating opportunities for co-productions, talent exchange, skill development, and cultural storytelling. It serves as a platform for filmmakers, producers, actors, writers, technicians, film commissions, and academic institutions to engage in meaningful partnerships that celebrate the rich cinematic traditions of both regions. Through film festivals, training programmes, workshops, industry forums, research, and networking initiatives, the Academy seeks to strengthen creative industries, encourage cross-cultural narratives, and position cinema as a bridge for diplomacy, tourism, and economic cooperation.

4. India–Africa Media Network (IAMN)

The India–Africa Media Network is an initiative to deepen media collaboration and facilitate the exchange of credible information, perspectives, and stories between India and Africa. It connects journalists, media organisations, digital content creators, broadcasters, communication professionals, and academic institutions to promote balanced reporting and greater understanding of developments across both regions. Through media exchanges, training programmes, collaborative reporting projects, policy dialogues, digital platforms, and strategic communication initiatives, the Network aims to amplify positive narratives, counter misinformation, strengthen public diplomacy, and foster enduring media partnerships that support the broader India–Africa relationship.
